Brantley Gilbert Hits Ignition on Fire’t Up Tour

One of country’s hardest rocking stars will ignite a new headlining tour in early 2020, as Brantley Gilbert announces his Fire’t Up Tour … and reveals the tour’s namesake track in the process.

Set to kick off January 23 in London, Ontario, Canada and blaze through 34 cities, Gilbert will be joined on his Fire’t Up Tour by supporting acts Chase Rice, Dylan Scott and Brandon Lay. From Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Orange Beach, Alabama, the run will feature stops in markets big and small, culminating in a show at the majestic Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado, on May 8.

Meanwhile, Gilbert has also used the news to release another track off his upcoming fifth studio album, Fire & Brimstone, which is due October 4. Also titled “Fire’t Up” and standing as the album’s opening number, the blood-pumping anthem tells a familiar tale of back-40 bonfires and slow rolling dirt-road buzzes, rooted in all the rock-influence he’s been known for since “Kick It In the Sticks” — but with a bit of modern track-based production to boot.

“I truly feel like we’re at the point that we can let the music take us where it is meant to go, so with every new album we like to change up our show and make it something that plays to those stories and characters,” Gilbert says, speaking about the album and upcoming tour. “We’ll of course still do the hits our fans love, but we are looking at this as an opportunity to turn up the heat a bit and give the songs on Fire & Brimstone a chance to really rock.”

Gilbert’s current single off Fire & Brimstone is his romantically-charged duet with Lindsay Ell, “What Happens In a Small Town,” which is currently just outside the Top 10 on Billboard’s Country Airplay radio chart and rising. He’s also shared soft-touch new tracks like “Man That Hung the Moon” and “Bad Boy,” as well as muscular chest thumpers like “Not Like Us” and the laid back “Welcome to Hazeville” featuring Colt Ford, Lukas Nelson and Willie Nelson. The album also includes collaborations with Alison Krauss and Jamey Johnson. Gilbert’s Kick It In the Ship Cruise sets sail November 4.
