Brett Young Entertains for Exclusive Hilton Honors Members Show

Against a backdrop of Nashville’s bright city lights, Brett Young lit up the room. Young and his band took the stage Thursday night, September 12, inside the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum to perform an exclusive set for Hilton Honors members, who accumulated points for a shot at this private event. The venue provided a stunning view of downtown Nashville’s gleaming skyline, adding to the excitement of the show.

Young quickly kicked off the show with his current single “Catch.” Sporting a blue Tennessee Titans jersey, he played cheerleader as he fired up the fans with the burning question, “Are y’all ready to party?” The yells and whoops provided the answer. Young kept the party going with “Reason to Stay,” his debut single “Sleep Without You” and his first No. 1 hit “In Case You Didn’t Know.” He proved the complete entertainer, engaging the crowd between songs and working all sides of the stage.

Young has played several of these Hilton Honors shows, and
he told Sounds Like Nashville that he enjoys the partnership with the
popular chain. “We actually have a very cool relationship with Hilton,” he
said, prior to the show. “They have been so good to us. I love stuff like this
just because it is a little more personal. Touring can get a little bit like
‘Groundhog Day,’ but this gives you an intimate way to interact with fans. They
have spent their hard-earned money to cash in their points to come to this
show. It feels like there is more of a genuine connection.”

Their Hilton points also gave fans the chance to attend the pre-show and post-show receptions, which featured a buffet of Southern delicacies and well-stocked bars. “This is an example of what Hilton does,” Young related to Sounds Like Nashville. “It’s the kind of next level customer service that they offer. It’s really cool that Hilton wants to make me a part of it.” Other artists who have performed for the Hilton Honors concert series include Lady Antebellum, Kane Brown, Maren Morris, Jason Derulo and Kip Moore.

Through its partnership with Live Nation, Hilton Honors hosted the exclusive concert. Hilton Honors members can use their points to access top events such as Young’s show. More than 80 percent of the audience traveled from other states and countries to attend the Nashville concert.

Young entertained those attendees with plenty of his big
hits, and peppered his set with a spot-on cover of Justin Bieber’s “Love
Yourself.” He exhorted the audience with, “You gotta sing with me on this one!”
and the folks obliged, singing and swaying to the upbeat tune. Young brought
the evening to a close with his chart-topping hits “Mercy” and “Here Tonight.”

Fans will get an extra helping of Young as he drops his new
EP, The Acoustic Sessions, Friday, September 13. “It’s a five-song
acoustic record,” Young noted, with stripped-down versions of five selections
from his Ticket to L.A. album. “I love acoustic stuff and I’m really
excited about this,” Young said. From his Nashville stop, Young will continue
to hit the road in September, with several shows booked in his native
California. But he’s taking all of October off, as he and his wife Taylor Mills
expect the birth of their child.

Surely, more Hilton Honors will be in the works as well. “They really hit it out of the park with this series,” Young raved. “The response that we get is always amazing.”
