Luke Bryan to Turn the Opry Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

Luke Bryan is joining the Grand Ole Opry in the fight against breast cancer this fall as he’s set to “flip the switch” on a special edition of Opry Goes Pink.

Taking place October 22, the event will feature two shows with Bryan headlining, but the won’t be your average Opry broadcasts. First Bryan will flip the switch on the Opry stage’s famous barn backdrop — turning it pink in honor of breast cancer awareness — and then he’ll deliver each performance in rare, acoustic fashion. Bryan will be joined by Anita Cochran, Sara Evans, Craig Morgan, and the Oak Ridge Boys (among others yet to be revealed), and says he wanted to do something unusual for the occasion.

“I wanted to make this Opry appearance something special,” he explains. “Performing in the Opry circle is unlike any other stage in the world and I want it to be a unique memory for me and the fans.”

Tickets are on sale now and $5 from each one sold will be donated to the Susan G Komen foundation for the fight against breast cancer. Bryan is currently on top of the country radio charts for the 23rd time with his playful single, “Knockin’ Boots.”
