Old Dominion to Chill Out With Canadian Winter Tour

Old Dominion are looking to chill out this winter — but they won’t be taking time off. Instead, the award-winning group are heading north for a string of Canadian dates with the We Are Old Dominion Tour.

Featuring 12 concert dates in frosty February, the run will take the “One Man Band” singers from British Columbia to Ontario, with Mitchell Tenpenny and Meghan Patrick chosen as opening acts. Two special shows will kick things off, billed as “An Evening With Old Dominion, The Band Behind the Curtain” and taking place December 12-13 at the Avalon Ballroom Theatre in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Those intimate shows will feature the band’s hit songs — and the stories that brought them to life — and since the band is made up of five real-life friends, you can bet on some laughs.

Meanwhile, Old Dominion are staying plenty busy. They’re currently out on their headlining Make It Sweet Tour, then heading to Europe and the U.K. for nine dates in October before returning stateside through the end of the year. Just before the Canadian tour, they’ll ring in 2020 in Hawaii with two shows January 3 and 5.

The live-concert news arrives as Old Dominion continue their run as one of format’s most popular groups, scoring their third consecutive nomination for CMA Vocal Group of the Year. The band won that award last year, and is also the reigning ACM Vocal Group. Their self-titled third album is set for release October 25.
