Paddywax Candle Bar’s Fall-Themed Events Strike a Flame

Paddywax is setting the candle market on fire. Their award-winning product line transforms spaces with scent, creating a multi-sensory experience that’s equal parts cozy and stylish. Paddywax Candle Bar provides consumers an opportunity to delve into the candle-making process, providing a fun activity that’s perfect for a date night or group outing.

Paddywax’s candle offerings are expertly designed and sourced with intentionality. Unique collections such as the Parks candles, which help support the National Parks Foundation, add instant ambiance to any home. “We work with perfumers that source raw materials for us from all over the world,” says Sally Ward Woodyard, creative director. “We work closely with them to sample hundreds of scents every year and choose just a few to bring into our line. We look for that wow factor that really sticks with you and creates emotion.”

At a Paddywax Candle Bar
pour party, you choose the fragrance, and a vessel, and a candle expert walks
you through the rest. Guests are taught how to properly place wicks, weigh out
the exact ratio of fragrance and wax based on their vessel selection, then
blend the wax and fragrance together. “Although reservations are not required,
we highly encourage guests to reserve their seats online before arrival,” says
events and PR manager, Emilie Harvey. “Our classes tend to sell out in

Paddywax Candle Bar hosts classes every two hours and can accommodate between 16 to 24 guests for each class. Workshop attendees receive 20 percent off in-store items. Customers are welcome to BYOB. An $8 corking fee applies. Beer and wine is also available on site. Candles require three hours to fully cure. Guests can return to pick up their custom creations or pay a shipping fee to have them delivered.

Collaborative workshops are held at Paddywax Candle Bar at least twice a month. “I’m most looking forward to our Harry Potter-themed cocktail class with Fancy Sips, where guests will be crafting their own Butterbeer, Polyjuice Potion, and Liquid Luck,” Harvey says. Gryffindors, Ravenclaws, Hufflepuffs, and Slytherins alike are all encouraged to sign-up for the October 30th class at the Berry Hill location. In addition to crafting and indulging in three mini cocktails and one custom candle pouring of your choice, the class includes one hour of all things potions.

On October 16th, a skull centerpiece-arranging class is being offered in preparation for Halloween at the East Nashville location. This ghoulish take on flower arranging will be guided by an expert from Petals and Stem. Your ticket includes one hour of flower arranging, one skull vase, and seasonal stems.
