Ryan Hurd Personifies ‘Summer’ With New Song

Country singer and hit songwriter Ryan Hurd has just released a new song just in time for the summer.

“Her Name Was Summer” was penned by Hurd,
Aaron Eshuis and Mike Walker, and narrates the life post-breakup that holds the
persona captive to the wistful memories of what was.

“’Her Name Was Summer’ is just country music nostalgia. It’s that experience that everybody had, just of being in love for the first time, what it was like, it being temporary but you still look back, remember it; and it makes you smile,” Hurd shared on the story and emotions entailed in his new song.

Fans had an early live first-listen of this track when Hurd kicked off his ongoing “To A T” tour earlier this year, that is spanning across cities in the country, with multiple sold-out shows.

The song release joins the catalog of
new tunes the talented RCA Records Nashville artist has released over the last
year, which include “Diamonds Or Twine” and “Michigan For The Winter.”
