Shania Twain to Co-Star in Jeremy Camp Biopic ‘I Still Believe’

Country icon Shania Twain will play Christian music artist Jeremy Camp’s mother in the upcoming biopic, I Still Believe. The faith-based true life story is set to hit theaters in March of 2020.

Described by IMDB as “The true-life story of Christian music star Jeremy Camp and his journey of love and loss that looks to prove there is always hope,” I Still Believe starts shooting this month in Alabama and takes its title from Camp’s 2003 hit by the same name.

Twain is set to portray Camp’s mother, Terry, while Riverdale actor K.J. Apa will take the lead role and longtime Hollywood star Gary Sinese will play Camp’s father. Britt Robertson has been cast as Melissa Henning (Camp’s love interest and eventual wife), while Melissa Roxburgh will play Heather Henning (Melissa’s older sister) and Nathan Dean Parsons joins as Jean-Luc La Joie (a friend and musical mentor to Camp). Jon Erwin and Andrew Erwin are directing and Kevin Downes is producing, and I Still Believe will be released by Lionsgate and Kingdom Studios.

To date, Camp has sold more than 5 million albums and earned five Gold certifications, plus more than 30 No.1 singles and two American Music Awards — all while maintaining and evangelizing his spiritual faith through profound personal tragedy.

Twain recently co-starred with John Travolta in the stock-car racing themed film, Trading Paint, which was released in February. Her latest album, Now, was released in 2017.
