It’s been a few months (February) since I visited Thomasville, GA and I have never shared the experience with you all, so today I’m doing just that. Historic Thomasville, GA has been welcoming visitors and travelers from all over the world since the late 1800’s. There is definitely more to this South Georgia town than I could have imagined. It’s very Southern, with a quaint downtown area and lots of great shops and restaurants. Back in the late 1800’s it was known as the Winter Resort of the South. Northerners and others came to Thomasville to enjoy hunting, fishing, and an active social life, with golf, horse racing, and bicycling. If you missed my Pebble Hill Plantation post, be sure to read that too. It has such rich history to share.
I was there for a small travel conference and stayed at the South Eden Plantation for one night. I’ll show you that down below.
